Parent FAQs – Happy Kids Taxi
We provide safe, reliable transportation for children ages 5–17. Children age 4 may also ride if they’re enrolled in preschool and have a proper car seat or booster. For riders ages 4–7, a parent or authorized adult must be present at pickup and drop-off.
We currently serve families in Broward County, Florida, including North Lauderdale, Tamarac, Coral Springs, Margate, Coconut Creek, Sunrise, Lauderhill, Lauderdale Lakes, and Plantation.
We provide door-to-door rides to and from schools, after-school programs, tutoring, daycare, sports practices, camps, and special events.
Yes! We offer AM pick-ups, PM drop-offs, or both. You choose what works best for your family’s schedule
Safety is our #1 priority. All drivers pass a Level II background check, are fully licensed and insured, and receive child safety and emergency training. We always verify your child’s identity and ensure safe hand-off.
Parents should provide their child’s car seat or booster if needed. Children under age 5 must ride in a car seat, and children under age 8 should ride with a booster (as required by Florida law).
No. We group children by route, school, and age to keep rides safe and efficient. You’ll always receive your driver’s name, vehicle details, and updates before service begins.
Pricing is based on distance and frequency. Standard weekly rates start at:
• 0–5 miles: $60/week
• 6–10 miles: $85/week
• 10–20 miles: $110/week
(Sibling discounts available.)
Yes. A $35 one-time registration fee per family is required to reserve your child’s spot and cover onboarding and scheduling.
Ride fees are billed weekly and must be paid before the upcoming week begins to keep your child’s seat reserved. Payment reminders are sent every Thursday.

Pay your registration fee and first week’s payment
We’ll then confirm your driver’s name, vehicle tag, and start date.
Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance. Same-day cancellations may still be charged due to route scheduling commitments.
For children under age 12, a parent, guardian, or authorized adult must be present. If no one is available, the driver will contact you and additional waiting or return fees may apply.
Yes, but they must be on your Authorized Pickup List. Drivers will verify their ID before releasing your child.
Yes! You’ll receive ride confirmations, pickup reminders, and driver details before each trip. You’ll always know when your child is on the way and when they’ve arrived safely.
We’ll notify you immediately by phone or text if there are any delays, route changes, or emergencies.
Yes! We offer sibling discounts and can coordinate group routes to save your family time and money.
